Your responsibilities
The Connectivity and Development Officer is responsible for setting up and running the academic excellence-based scholarship programs of Modul University (most importantly the MCC Scholarship Program), fostering international partnerships, and promoting the university's global reach. This role requires a strong understanding of student development, international relations, and program management. The selected candidate will report to the Managing Director.

Your responsibilities:
MCC Scholarship Program Management:
  • Organize and run the entire scholarship application process with the involvement of related MU teams/departments (i.e. reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making selection decisions), ensuring its smooth operation and adherence to guidelines.
  • Provide/organize mentorship and support to scholarship recipients throughout their academic journey.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for MCC Scholarship recipients.
  • Create and coordinate a mentorship program for scholarship recipients.
  • Schedule academic events for students such as extracurricular courses, debates, talks, and panel discussions.
  • In collaboration with related MU teams/departments, plan and execute professional and social events, i.e. major Ball, Summer University, Sports Day, and Modul Business Championship.
  • Oversee and manage student output in the university's student project system.
  • Organize study trips and join recruitment trips for scholarship recipients to enhance their academic development and promote Modul University.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners to secure sponsorships, internships, jobs, and research opportunities for students.
  • Coordinate company visits and on-campus recruitment events organized by the scholarship recipients.
  • Manage the budget of the Connectivity and Development Office and ensure compliance with all financial regulations. 
International Relations (activities supervised by the President):
  • Support establishing and maintaining partnerships with universities, research institutions, and government agencies, discover opportunities for student exchange programs and collaborations.
  • Maintain a list of potential exchange partners and foreign contacts and share it with relevant staff at Modul University.
  • Join business trips and recruitment trips with focus on growing MU’s international network.
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop, discuss with MU management, and implement a strategic plan for the Connectivity and Development Office, aligning with the university's overall goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the office's programs and initiatives.
  • Develop the strategy of the MCC Scholarship Program, align with internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration between MCC and Modul University.

Your profile
  • University degree or equivalent (at least Bachelor’s Degree).
  • Relevant work experience (1+ years), prior work experience in a similar role or in higher education desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure on multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Proactive, agile, service-oriented and engaged attitude; strong attention to detail.
  • Secure user of MS 365 products.
  • Strong IT and technical skills; experienced level.
  • Valid work permit in Austria.
